Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Strong earthy cherry and plum fruit aromas with whiffs of wet wood. Spicy, rustic mouthfeel, medium body and 80-grit texture. Lots of fruit flavors…cherry, plum and raspberry with an abundance of mineral. Lots of zesty acidity, chewy tannins and a medium-length mouth-puckering fruit finish. An excellent pairing with the strong flavors of the ground venison in the sauce. GOOD, very affable rustic Sangiovese.
