Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, ruby color with the same color rim. Ripe cherry, current and rose aromas. Smooth, dry and a tad rustic mouthfeel, light body and a 150-grit texture. Plenty of fresh red current and spicy black pepper flavors. Edgy acidity, round edged tannins that have nice grip and a medium-length savory fruit flavored salty tasting finish that ended bitter. In a nutshell it was a lush Italian red that was light, red current flavored and filled with noteworthy tannins. The edgy acidity was excellent with the tomato sauce on the pizza and it was quite succulent drinking without food. A savory and vibrant wine made from Italian Rossese grapes.
