Tasting:

Opened one-hour before drinking. Clear, light purple/ruby color with a lighter rim. This bottle started with a stunning WOW…the earthy fruit and wet wood aromas chased the cork right out of the bottle, than when poured there were distinct aromas of damp earth, blackberry, raspberry and hints of a fresh-picked navel orange being pealed. Than another WOW with each taste…smooth, somewhere between light and medium body; gobs of savory tart cherry, fresh red raspberry and cool minty strawberry flavors all swirling along on a forceful flood of smoky mineral into a dry, fruity, tart and bright acidic finish that became a banquet of smooth tannins. This Pinot Noir was like a light-footed sleeping cat that was awaken the moment the cork was popped. So soft, sophisticated and artful, yet it just came alive with the transition from fruit to tannins and luscious interwoven mixture of sour cherry and sweet raspberry that dominates from start to finish. It was so rich we only took small sips and enjoyed it well after the dinner was finished. Absolutely delicious red Burgundy.
