Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, dark ruby color with a lighter purple tint in the rim. Robust aromas of damp earth, mushrooms, sweet spice, cranberry and raspberry along with ephemeral hints of orange. Smooth entry, enticing and intense mouthfeel, medium body and a 100-grit texture. Raspberry and cranberry fruit flavors, along with a touch of cinnamon and vanilla. Plenty of fresh acidity, tasty fine grained tannins and a lingering mineral tinged finish of raspberry fruit and mushrooms. VERY aromatic, with concentrated tastes and especially good food pairing characteristics. A WOW, WOW Pinot Noir with its rich fruit tastes and fine grained tannins. This is drinking exceptionally well right now, it’s the “Real McCoy” and it’s reasonably priced…what more can you ask??? We called it OUTSTANDING red Burgundy that was perfectly paired with the roast pork and made the dinner special.
