He said: Dark purple in color. No bouquet. Strong, one dimensional, dark fruit taste that continues through the medium-length finish. An “OK” red; but for a Childress wine it’s GREAT!!! However, the $24.99 price clearly makes it a poor buy as a result we are not recommending it.

She said: The first taste was flavorless and harsh and I thought it was going to be another bust. As the sipping went on flavor developed and the harshness declined so it was quite drinkable. Tannins and body were medium. Was it worth $25.00? No way. At about $5.00 – $7.00 this would be an excellent buy.

Comments: It should be noted that we have had a lot of Childress wines in the past and been very disappointed. This one was a real improvement. (see: Wine Tastings at Childress Vineyards)
