Tasting:

Opened and decanted 90-minutes before drinking. Opaque, dark brownish ruby color with a gray purple color rim. Strong cherry, damp stone, strawberry, sweet spice and hints of dried floral aromas. Smooth velvety entry, rich, intense, very approachable and dry, dry, dry mouthfeel, full body and a 200-grit texture. Extremely rich dark cherry, cranberry and tar flavors. Lots of well balanced bright acidity that doesn’t show it’s head until the end of the finish, amazingly smooth fine grained yet grippy tannins and a long slightly bitter and complex finish. WOW, WOW, WOW, this was very nice Barolo. Layers of flavors, mellow, fantastic mouthfeel and sophisticated. We love Nebbiolo wines and this one was OUTSTANDING…it was a very well balanced and seductive Barolo.
