Tasting:

He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Clear, purple-red color with a light rim. Light cherry aroma; but bursting with dry, red fruit that’s slightly tart and a long finish that’s very dry and filled with fruit flavors and spice. Clearly not a Cru Beaujolais, but it’s also not a rough and ready Beaujolais…lots of balanced fruit & acidity, silky tannins and an abundance of mineral. Excellent pairing with the chicken Marsala and I’ll bet it would pair with almost any food. I can easily put this into our Quality wine at a Bargain price category. OUTSTANDING Nouveau Beaujolais that’s a super value!!!

She said: Although I am not usually fond of Beaujolais’ because of the lightness of body, aroma, taste and tannins, I am taken by this one though. The cherry aroma sucked me right in and led to a deeper, plum taste with lots of body and just enough acidity and dryness to balance the fruitiness in the mouth. The tannins were soft and pleasant. The finish was long and full of rich fruit flavors. I enjoyed the wine with both the chicken Marsala and the cabbage soup as well as sipping after dinner. I strongly recommend this wine as a Quality wine at a Bargain Price and would buy it again in a flash.
