Tasting:

Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Clear, dark garnet with purple tints and a lighter rim. Blackberry, cherry and grape aromas with hints of peppery spice and daffodil floral. Smooth entry, medium to full body and a 150-grit texture. Rich fruit flavors, very refreshing bright acidity, bountiful chewy tannins and a long dry slightly licorice finish that ends on a spicy note. A little rustic, but the grain in the tannins really tied it all together and separated it from the crowd. This was a great wine paired with the slivered venison in the stir fry; it did improved with time and was quite good sipping after the meal (for sure when we have the next bottle we will opened it sooner or decanted it). This wine is a sensational bargain at only $12.60 and easily gets a TastedOnline.com Quality Wine at a Bargain Price rating. .
