Tasting:

He said: Opened 15-minutes before drinking. Clear, dark ruby color with the same color rim. Strong damp earth and wet wood aromas with hints of ripe berries. Smooth with medium body, but very mouth-filling; fleshy blackberry, raspberry and black cherry flavors that carry on and on through the long earthy finish that’s spicy, salty and ends on a mineral note. Sumptuous, velvety red wine that’s a real WOW!!! Fantastic pairing with the cheese. Good acidity and rounded tannins, but VERY well balanced. A wine that you can taste the bouquet doesn’t come along very often, but this does it in spades. Delicious wine that’s an excellent value for the price.

She said: Beautiful ruby red color, opaque, irregular thin, slow moving legs. Be prepared for a powerful dark and red berry aroma and flavor with hints of wet leather because this wine has lots of both. The wine had a medium body, was dry and smooth with gentle tannins. It became even more flavorful with added depth as we sipped so I recommend opening it up an hour or more ahead, or decant it. The wine was delicious with the cheese that also had a lot of flavor and I would like to try it with a red sauce. Quality wine and I recommend it and look forward to having it again.
