Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, dark ruby red color with the same color rim. Significant rich raspberry aroma with wisps of wet wood. Fresh acidity, dry with a solid medium body; lots of blackberry and cherry flavors, soft tannins and a long vibrant mineral finish that even had hints of vanilla . GREAT Barbera!!! We were experimenting with the ingredients in the pasta, but it turned out perfectly and the pairing was spectacular!!! But, the wine really shined…intoxicating aromas, lively flavors and a finish that goes on and on, but doesn’t deviate from the rich, dry Barbera taste. We both commented that this was the best Barbera we have had in a long time and Vicky says I should get more of this one while it’s available…which says it all!!! EXCELLENT Barbera that’s a GREAT value and it goes into our Quality wine at a Bargain price category.
