Tasting:

He said: Clear, very light straw color. Intense aroma of citrus fruit, pear and peach with hints of damp earth and anise. Crisp, dry and refreshing fruit taste carries through the medium long finish. The intensely aromatic bouquet stayed right through to the last drop. This has to be one of the most complex, perfectly balanced white wines I have had…it’s a MEMORABLE wine and a unique wine drinking experience.

2nd Tasting (10/7/2013): Between the first and second tasting of this wine we have had several different bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and none of them came close to the quality of this one. It went very well with the crab and is truly an OUTSTANDING Sauvignon Blanc. The wine was served chilled for both of these tastings; however, we will only very slightly chill our next bottle.

3rd Tasting (11/20/2013): We make a basil pesto and often have it on pasta; but without question this is the best wine we have pared with it. The crispness and complexity of the wine are perfect with the basil and pine nut flavors.

She said: 1st Tasting: WOW!!! This was perfect for our lunch and one of the most delicious white wines I have ever tasted. Right from the first sniff the wine was outstanding. Full of pear and scent followed through into the long finish. Dry, medium bodied and with just enough acidity to balance the fruity sweetness, this is fabulous wine and I strongly recommend it if you are OK with it’s $19.80 price tag. (It’s a bargain at that price!!!)

2nd Tasting (10/7/2013): Absolutely fabulous wine and great with the crab soup.

Comments: 1st Tasting: This is one of those extraordinary wines that everyone MUST try regardless of their budget. This wine is a bargain at $20; however, only because it is more than our $15 maximum to receive our Quality Wine at a Bargain Price rating we are giving it our Recommended as a buy rating.
