Tasting:

Chilled before drinking. Clear, almost colorless. Very light tropical fruit, fresh cut conifers and sweet spice aromas. Silky smooth, off dry and fresh unripe mouthfeel, medium body and 200-grit texture. Upfront flavors of pineapple, lemon, spearmint, peach and honeydew melon. Dominating edgy acidity and a long substantial mineral finish. In a word we described this as taut Sauvignon Blanc. Although it starts slowly with a light bouquet from mid-palate through the end it’s fresh and zesty. The tartness of the fruit added a new dimension to the Sauvignon blanc and it paired well with the flavors in the stir fry. A nice fresh and young Sauvignon blanc from one of our favorite Zinfandel producers.
