Tasting:

He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear, with just a slight tint of silver/green. Lemon, citrus and fresh granny smith apple aromas. Crisp acidic mouth-feel with lots of lemon and lime citrus fruit flavors that continue all the way to the end of the slightly mineral finish. When we bought this wine, Russ Anderson, owner of the Caviste Wine Store wrote on the back of the bottle “WOW, combo of new and old”…and how right he was…it’s nothing like most New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Smooth, fresh flavors that are more a blend than strong traditional gooseberry tastes. It was a FANTASTIC pairing with the bell peppers on the pizza, but would probably go well with many foods. At only $13.50 it is an unbelievable bargain. This was “all-time” good Sauvignon Blanc that I strongly recommend.

She said: Clear, very pale yellow color. The first sniff was full of citrus and lemon and a bit of pepper, but the pepper dissipated quickly. The flavors followed the aroma and was complemented by a medium body and a long tasty finish that ended with a touch of Florida grapefruit tartness. It was the perfect accompaniment for the peppers and onions on the pizza and together they were like a choir hitting their crescendo. At $13.50 this is a fantastic bargain wine and I would buy it again in a flash
