Chilled before drinking. Pale wheat straw color. Fresh, slightly yiesty and lemon aromas with the smell of old musty books in the background. Delicate, elegant, medium-light bodied with a 200-grit texture. Dominating earthy mineral, banana, melon and vibrant citrus flavors with hints of apricot, especially on the later pours. Brisk crisp acidity and a long zesty and flavorful citrus finish. Classic Chardonnay and if it has a flaw it’s that’s its so easy drinking it disappears to quickly!!! Superb flavors, spring-time fresh mouth feel and a wine that just oozes an aristocratic character. Jean-Marc Pillot produces wines that are truly noteworthy. We thought the Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chaumes 2013 was a stellar wine and a good value, but this White Burgundy is an absolute STEAL, we would give it Five thumbs up if we had such a rating. A rich and elegant Chardonnay that was a FANTASTIC value…we loved it and wished we had more in our cellar!!!
