Tasting:

He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear and almost colorless, with just a tiny tint of wheat straw and tenacious fine bubbles. Light musty forest floor and salty sea breeze aromas. Medium body and bubbling mouth-feel; lemon grass, and apple taste that’s on the dry side and finishes medium-length with a touch of mineral. Double WOW, fresh. clearly defined, refreshing and celebratory bubbles for only $13.50. GREAT Cava at a bargain price and a fantastic substitute for Champagne.

She said: Light golden yellow, clear, lots of very small bubbles collecting on the glass surface. Light lemon-lime aroma with similar flavor and medium body with a dry mouth feel. The taste was sweeter than a Brut Champagne, but not as sweet as Prosecco that’s at the same price point. The finish was long, dry and delicious. Great with the popcorn and cheese and at $13.50 it is a bargain wine and I would buy it again in a flash. I have not had a lot of Caves, but this one sure did hit the spot!
