Tasting:

Opened 45-minuets before drinking. Clear, light ruby color with a pink rim. Strong aromas of cinnamon, allspice, raspberry and cherry with lots of damp wood and leather in the background, but also with a haunting smell of a North Carolina tobacco shed being filled with leaves. Smooth entry, fruity, dryish, medium body that was on the light side and a 200-grit texture. Ripe cherry, raspberry and plum flavors. Lively, well balanced acidity, supple tannins and a long fruity finish that ends with a slight spicy upturn. WOW, very understated Central Coast Pinot Noir. Not a rough edge in the entire bottle and the combination of sweet spices and ripe fruit really made it distinctive. Luscious paired with the roast chicken, but captivating sipping after the dinner was done. A truly STUNNING fruity California Pinot Noir.
