Tasting:

Opened and decanted 90-minutes before drinking. Clear, dark ruby color with a lighter brownish rim. Light musty cherry, raspberry and cranberry aromas with intermittent hints of heavy rose fragrance. Smooth, powerful and well balanced mouthfeel, light to medium body and a rich 150-grit texture. Overflowing with tart cherry, cranberry, licorice and bitter dark tea flavors intertwined with a persistent sweet fruitiness. Nice edgy acidity, very fine and persistent tannins and a long bitter fruit finish. WOW, WOW, everything was so well balanced the wine exuded an elegant character. We really enjoyed this Nebbiolo and in the end called it simply OUTSTANDING!!!

Note: This wine discernibly improved with each pour and we should have probably opened and decanted it 3-hours before drinking!!!
