Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, dark ruby color with the same color rim. A WOW, powerful, traditional smelling Cab Franc…wet gravel, bell peppers, ripe plum, and softwood shavings. Light, fresh and concentrated mouthfeel, medium body and an 100-grit texture. Robust flavors of California Wonder green peppers, juicy raspberries and sweet tobacco. Just over the edge of medium acidity and well integrated tannins that have a little bite and contribute greatly to the very delicious complex finish. It all ends with just the slightest hint of clove and peppery spice aftertaste. Although this is a traditional Cab Franc wine it’s a standard setter and gets all the accolades in addition to being sooooooo delicious. We really like the vegetal character of Cab Franc and this one didn’t disappoint. It was also the most REFINED wine we have had in a long time. When a $50 wine gets a four thumbs up “Bang for the Buck Rating” you know it’s OUTSTANDING quality. We called this Cab Franc MEMERABLE…and it blew us away!!!
