Tasting:

Opened 45-minutes before drinking. Clear, ruby color with a slightly lighter rim. Spicy cherry, cinnamon, tobacco and old leather aromas. Silky smooth entry, but it had a rustic and spicy mouthfeel, light to medium body and a 150-grit texture. Gobs of expected Sangiovese current and raspberry flavors, but also lots of interesting and yummy blackberry, blueberry, tar, espresso, clove and dark chocolate. Edgy acidity, well integrated tannins that grow exponentially and a very long dark fruit finish. WOW, what a fantastic mouth appeal…the texture snares, the spicy fruit taste charms and the tannins totally captivate you. This is a STELLAR blend and a wine we look forward to having again and again. It’s like a Sangiovese wine on steroids!!!
