He said:Dark ruby color. Cherry aromas when opened, but drift off to little or no bouquet. Mouth puckering dark fruit taste and a medium long, dry, tart finish at first; but after opened it settles down to sweet fruit flavors. At first this is a wine with intense taste…mid-pallet the dark fruit is actually bitter and the tastes were over-powering and poorly balanced. After it settled down it developed a sweet taste and was disappointing. It’s not really a Zinfandel or a Syrah. The label says “Sweet and Juicy” and that’s a pretty accurate description and in the end says it all. If I bought a Rex-Goliath red I would buy the Pinot Noir.
