He said: Decanted 30-minutes before drinking. Clear, dark ruby color. Nice cherry, current and dark fruit aromas. Intense dark fruit taste and long full-bodied finish. We liked this best at the Caviste Barbera tasting and it was GREAT with the eggplant Parmesan. Robust, rich flavors, dry and smooth drinking. This gets two thumbs up from me and a strong buy recommendation. I can’t wait to have the second bottle!!!

She said: This wine was our top pick at a recent Barbera wine tasting. Apparently we were not alone because when we went to buy some, there was none left. No problem our very dear wine merchant had some for us in a few days and tonight we indulged in a glorious Barbera. And, it is “my kind of wine”. With a big bouquet and lots of flavor, it also is full bodied and dry with good tannins that last into the medium long finish. It was great with the eggplant dish, stood up to the salad well and was delicious with the chili infused chocolate we had for desert. It was good sipping wine after dinner too. Loved it!
