CABERNET SAUVIGNON
2002 Vintage - BLIND TASTED in March 2006 Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
|
Hervé Pennequin The 2002 'Diamond Mountain' Cabernet Sauvignon benefited of heat spikes in September and brought enough of ripeness and color. The volcanic soil adds in concentration and complexity into the wine and finally with 2 to 3 tons per acre, the wine really produced an intensively flaAÂvorful wine of black fruits with eucalyptus and spices of cloves, with nettles and cedar box aromas. The tannins and acidity are intense but finish on a silky, velvety touch.
Andreas Larsson A dark ruby red color, the nose is rich and spicy with hints of sweet blackcurrants and spices. The palate is broad and sweet with marked tannins and a medium long finish.
