The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon shows long legs with a intense dark red ruby color. The aromas of tar, black fruits of black berries, prune and cherry are intense with some earthiness. While in the mouth, the wine expresses a great complexity with a lively acidity. The tannins are smooth, very racy. The finish has cacao flavors with leather and a little of gaminess and possesses a nice firmness necessary to this full bodied wine.

this appeared as the above with slightly sweeter fruit and naturally a bit younger, very elegant and slightly denser than above. Like a young and good Latour with beautiful tannins.
