Hervé Pennequin All Cabernet Sauvignons from this vintage came at full ripeness after a growing season without armful moment. Facing excellence in quality, decision was made to extend the skin maceration to really extract more than usual, and 80% new French oak were used to bring smooth and sweet oak flavors to the wine. The 2002 shows a very dark color with purple hues, very concentrate, almost black in the center. The extracted aromas of black fruits of dark cherry, blueberry with tar, licorice, light pepper and smoky are putting this wine out of the range, so intense, so complex, with coffee beans at evolution. The mouth is full of tannins, noble, racy, the pepperness appears again with a great acidity and a silky finish. Very long aftertaste, this 2002 is a pure example of a great Cabernet Sauvignon.
Andreas Larsson Very dense purple-ruby red color, the nose is young and concentrated with dark cherries, cassis, tobacco and mineAÂrals. The palate is very big and structured with massive fruit, tobacco, mineral, polished tannins and a fresh acidity. The aftertaste is very long and complex with spices and tobacco, very good.
