Chilled before opening. Crystal clear, oat straw color. Apple, cooked Bartlett pear, nutmeg and oak aromas. Smooth, vivacious, approachable, very slightly creamy with a savory mouthfeel, medium body and a 400-grit texture. Tart quince, apple, bread right out of the toaster, ripe honeydew melon and a tad of fresh squeezed lemon flavors. Lots of bright acidity and a very long lemon/lime finish that ends with a chalkiness in the mouth. WOW, this was like young “Old World” Chardonnay. It was light and zesty with just the slightest touch of California creaminess. It’s luscious to drink, pairs well with food and is a very unique California wine. Simply OUTSTANDING Chardonnay that’s a $25 bargain!!!
