For the first time ever a tasting of Austria’s greatest wines has been organized by the economic section of the Austrian Embassy and the Austrian Wine Marketing Board at Maison Aubrac in Paris on January 30th. 43 of the Austria’s best winegrowers personally presented their wines to more than 200 professionals from all over France.
The sommeliers of the most prestigious restaurants of the French Capital, professionals working at Meurice, Pierre Gagnaire, Le Bristol, Le Georges V, Laserre, Taillevent ,… and many more were present to discover the treasures of the Austrian wine cellars. Of course the tasting was also attended by many wine shop owners, and wholesalers as well as the wine press. The Austrian Ambassador Ursula Plassnik expressed her pride in regards to the great success Austrian wines encounter internationally. Today Austria counts amongst the top five wine nations of the world.
