Petronella Salvi

    Born and educated in South Africa, Petronella Salvi arrived in Bordeaux to further her studies having graduated in personnel management, political science and industrial psychology. Meeting an English Bordeaux wine shipper, whom she married, put an end to any dreams of a staggering professional career.


In 1996, Petronella Salvi started VINO FINO, a wine events and tour company specialising in the great vineyards of France, Spain, Italy and of South Africa. Over the last decade she has also been a jury member of the most prestigious wine competitions in Europe, North and South America and South Africa.


With time Petronella Salvi started writing wine and food related articles for publication in specialised magazines, websites and newsletters. She is an active member of the British Circle of Winewriters, the Club de la Presse de Bordeaux and the International Federation of Wine and Spirits Writers and Journalists.
