42 years in Wine Trade. Board of Directors of Allan Sichel Ltd and Sales Director Maison Sichel and Mähler-Besse. Diploma of Oenology under Emile Peynaud, 1957-9. Master of Wine 1970. Member of Travellers Club, Fédération Internationale de Journalistes et Ecrivains de Vin, Association Française de la Presse de Gastronomie et Tourisme, Association de la Presse du Vin, Circle of Wine Writers, Press Club of Bordeaux.
Represents Great Britain at the International Union of Oenologists. Member of a Committee of Experts of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine. Officer of the Commanderie du Bontemps de Médoc, Graves, Sauternes and Barsac and member of the Jurade of Saint-Emilion. Professional taster and Consultant.
